�The Stanford Blood Center is offer vouchers to Stanford Athletics events as a give thanks you to donors passim August, a month in which the blood provide can reach critical shortages.
From Aug. 1-28, donors at whatsoever of blood center's ternary locations will receive a voucher featuring the undermentioned discounts for Cardinal sports:
- Two general admission tickets to the Stanford vs. Oregon State football game on Aug. 28 at 6 p.m.
- Two general entree tickets for any regular season men's or women's soccer cope with during the 2008 season
- The chance to leverage a $15 membership to the Stanford Kids Club "Team Cardinal" (regular membership price is $25)
Vouchers are nontransferable and non redeemable for cash.
"We look forward to this promotion with Stanford Blood Center every year," said Bob Carruesco, assistant athletic director for marketing. "It's a great cause and the Athletics Department is happy to be able to bread and butter it."
"The need for blood cadaver high in the summer," said Michele Hyndman, voice for the blood center. "With more or less 20 per centum of our blood supply coming from high school and college students on mobile rakehell drives, it is important that we continue to bring in donors when school is not in session.
